Teflon

\"teflon-hand-in-hand\"Teflon’s production is bold; heavy on the drums, heavy on the bass, heavy in your ears. Rolling Stone magazine has called his beat making skills “sublime” and All Music Guide described his tracks as “a stunning soundscape.” The Hip-Hop producer and Bronx native is doing much more than creating tracks the critics can love.

The producer/executive is “breathing life back into the game” via his label C.P.R. Entertainment. He is in the process of assembling very talented list of artists such as Jadakiss, Kevin Rudolf, Wyclef Jean, Mekeba Riddick, reggae artist Movado and many more.

Teflon is not stopping there. He is progressively developing his label’s talent with up-and-coming artists like R&B songstress Chess, rapper/hook master Infrared, and rap group Dade County Boyz. Tef is also in the lab working with sultry model-turned-singer Myra Veronica on her international album and has produced tracks for Fabolous and Jadakiss’s upcoming albums.

The 27-years-old is no new jack; in fact the producer extraordinaire is a Hip-Hop veteran. At 18 Tef was signed to Ruff Ryders by co-CEO Darrin Dean. One year later he produced his first radio hit. Subsequently, his music has garnered three platinum plaques and four gold plaques. His production has appeared on Grammy-nominated albums, worldwide advertising campaigns, movie soundtracks, countless DJ play lists and your iPod.

As a member of one of Hip-Hop’s most popular and respected families, Teflon produced tracks for DMX, Eve, The Lox and Drag-On among others and also worked alongside super-producer Swizz Beats. In 2000, Teflon produced the radio hit “Got It All” featuring Eve and Jadakiss, the lead single from Ryde or Die: Vol. 2. The next year he created the gem “Who’s That Girl?” on Eve’s Grammy-nominated, platinum-selling sophomore album, Scorpion. VH1 named the song to its list of Top 100 Greatest Hip-Hop Songs.

It didn’t take long for the rest of the music industry to take notice of Teflon’s beat making gift. His signature bass and drum-heavy style shaped Tef’s stellar production. He went on to produce numerous bangers for Wyclef, including his 2002 crossover hit “Two Wrongs” featuring Claudette Ortiz.

Since then the producer has racked up an impressive list of hits for high-profile artists such as LL Cool J, DMX, Cam’ron, Tom Jones, Donell Jones, Fat Joe and many more. Tef’s catalogue includes credits in the films The Nutty Professor 2, Finding Forrester, and 50 First Dates; and on televisions worldwide in Kobe Bryant’s Sprite commercial, “Portraits.”
