In the world of hip-hop, rarely do you see a female in a definitive position. But what many have failed to see is that women bring a much needed change and environment in music. Tasha Scott is doing just that in music industry. Tasha, also known as Tasha B, is the CEO of ByStorm Productions, an up and coming production powerhouse. Hailing from Kentucky, the 24-year old Tasha will soon become a household name that will be difficult to forget.

After making beats for 3 years, in April of 2006 she decided to take her love for music production and channel it into a company, calling it ByStorm Productions. While pursuing her bachelor’s degree in marketing and management at the University of Kentucky, she has provided production services for hip hop and R&B artists out of Kentucky, Ohio, St. Louis, Indiana, Georgia, Chicago, and Texas. While she has been acknowledged by many artists in the industry, she has also been acknowledged and featured in several hip hop magazines and websites. Once Tasha felt that her company was in a comfortable position, she recruited multi-talented producers BeatWonder (Atlanta), and Marc Yung (Orlando) to join her promising production team. Tasha and ByStorm have created quite a buzz for themselves, traveling across the country, attending different hip hop conferences, networking events, award shows, etc. taking full advantage of any opportunity to showcase their music to independent artists and labels.

As if it isn’t enough for Tasha to be a very talented producer, she is also committed to helping local and independent artists and their companies gain exposure, all while helping guide them in their careers. She enjoys building relationships with independent artists and labels, DJs, producers, etc. and provides excellent promotion services for all artists and their projects, including scoring promotional deals with successful liquor companies, Hpnotiq and Smirnoff. Additions to her promotional services include press kits, bios, press releases, and any other PR services upon request.

Tasha and her company, ByStorm Productions are truly proving that they are a force to be reckoned with. She is a young, urban businesswoman who has enough drive and talent that will take her far and beyond what is expected in the industry. Currently, she is working on her first mixtape, “When the Smoke Clears, Vol. 1” which will include all original beats and will feature artists out of Georgia, Alabama, Kentucky, the Carolinas, and Ohio.
