The future is bright for young, burgeoning director & screenwriter A.V. Rockwell. Quietly making moves since the 2010 release of “N.”, a short documentary exploring the use of the word “nigger” in Black America’s past, present, and future, HEIST displays A.V.’s unique cinematographic palette and shows precisely why her current client list includes the likes of Pusha T and Rita Ora.
HEIST, a grimy vignette that’s part of the ‘Open City’ series, is a silent film scored by buzzing rapper Travi$ Scott’s ‘XX’ about a gang of four who take to the streets to create their own “opportunities.”
