Man, I haven\’t been able to keep up with writing Journal\’s as often as I would prefer due to a lot of time constraints. Manic Mondays is taking off so I\’ve been spending most of my time writing and listening to beats (shout out to every producer that submits beats as well). However, tonight I actually have some down time (which is rare) so I decided to pen a new Journal. This Journal is simply called \”New Places New Faces\”. Many people hit me up and ask how to create a buzz, how to profit from their music, and other music related questions. To put it simple, everything starts mentally first. Mentally you have to prepare yourself for New Places and New Faces.
Now when I say that I don\’t mean to turn Hollywood on everyone that truly supported you (because that would only translate that you have no morals/standards).What I mean is that you have to leave behind the dead weight (certain old faces) that are not going any where and that are counter productive. And start to replacethem with positive individuals (new faces) that have drive and ambition. Thus when you surround yourself by new faces with positive energy you will begin to reap thebenefits such as new opportunities (new places). Man, in the last few months I had to cut off a lot of people, and this week I made a conscious decision to distance myself from even more people.
Now the main purpose of me writing this is to help YOU. I want YOU to sit down and actually think about all of the people that are in your life. And I want YOU to truly be honest with yourself in regards to who is bringing positive energy into your life vs negative energy. Now listen, negative energy doesn\’t always mean the person does something directly to YOU. A person can also indirectly bring YOU negative energy. Do YOU know any people that always have bad things happening to them, people that always have an excuse, people that are always fucking shit up, or always can\’t get their shit together. Believe it or not, all of that shit can indirectly affect YOU. If YOU are surrounded by counter productive people they will indirectly bring YOU down. It\’s time for YOU to start putting YOU first. It\’s time for YOU to let go of certain individuals that in simple terms ain\’t about shit. Next time your phone rings and YOU see that name in your caller ID don\’t answer, next time YOU have some down time dedicate that time to YOU, and the next time those negative individuals aka takers come to you over and over with the same negative shit tell them to keep it movin. The choice is yours, but if you don\’t get anything elese from this, remember this main theme…once YOU put YOU first…YOU will see New Places and New Faces.

Well said young man! The Bible says, “Out of the mouth of babes, comes wisdom.” This is “wisdom” teaching from a young man.
Some of those who think we’re going “Hollywood” when we’re trying to achieve our goals are people who don’t see our vision, so they naturally throw the “you changin” line at us! But guess what? We’re born to CHANGE! We’re supposed to CHANGE! Some folk would rather see us in the ghetto “keeping it real” (whatever the fuck that means!) than getting out of the ‘hood and doing great things for humanity.
They call it “peer pressure.” Pressure to conform to what they (or the masses) wants. It takes hella courage and intestinal fortitude to “do you!” You might already suspect that I catch hella flack for what I represent, but truthfully, those among family and friends are still close to me, despite the naysayers. Keep doin’ you K. Sparks and let the haters do what they are born to do….hate!
