J. Bizness 3P Series Vol. 4

Is it possible to see tomorrow before yesterday? I know. It sounds like a trick question, but if you asked Inland Empire natives Yep and T.i.E, the answer is a simple “Of course!” Maybe that’s why the fact that they decided to name their new group Tomorrow, Yesterday makes so much sense. “There are so many reasons why we chose this name, but the main reason was to remind our fans to always keep their eye on the prize, focus on the future, and leave their past behind,” says T.i.E. “Yep was my barber. Anyone that goes to the barbershop knows that you develop a bond with the person cutting your hair each week.” Once the two discovered that they both had a passion for music, it transcended into a friendship beyond the shop.

At the beginning of their musical journey, the group went on to accomplish big things, including winning a Battle of the Bands competition, building a tremendous buzz through word of mouth, and opening for hip hop pioneers The Pharcyde, Multi-Platinum recording artist Jon B, the ever known mainstay Busta Rhymes, and most recently the world renown group J*Davey. The group gained a large following through packed performances at local hot spots and colleges including The Roxy, The Knitting Factory, BB Kings, Cal State Long Beach, USC, The Pomona Colleges, and the University of California, Riverside just to name a few. “I truly enjoy college shows the most,” says Yep. “They always show us an overwhelming amount of love and would always let us know how much they enjoyed our performance.”

So what’s next for these two musically innovative individuals? After the Independent release of their collaborative album, Making the Fans, many can’t wait for their next project. Aside from their goal to captivate crowds worldwide, the first step is the follow up to their debut release. With their sights set on the prize, you can always count on these guys to leave their hearts on the stage.
