How can I or my artists get featured or interviewed in your Features section?
This section is reserved for major label artists or major indie artists (Little Brother, Daz, etc). If you or your artists fit that bill, please use the contact form below.

How can I get my cd reviewed on Hoodgrown?
At the moment we don’t have a music reviewer, but should that change we will update the site to reflect that.

How can I get my mixtape featured in the Mixtape/Album section on Hoodgrown?
Storing mixtapes and albums take up huge amounts of hard drive space and bandwidth on our servers so our general practice is that we only offer mixtape downloads from well known artists. We do offer a paid option ($5 for 8 months) for unknown artists/labels who want us to host their mixtape downloads.

How can I get Hoodgrown to sponsor my event?
Aiight, this site is run basically by me, Cartel. I currently work a nine to five and have a mortgage and car payments to make so if you’re asking for money… forget about it. It ain’t happening. I can send things like Hoodgrown postcards or stickers and/or promote your event on my site, but that’s about the extent of it.

Can you use your industry contacts to help me get a record deal?
No!

I’m a writer. How can I write for Hoodgrown?
First understand that as a writer for Hoodgrown, you’ll be writing for exposure and/or experience. I can not pay you. What I can do is set you up with interviews for some of the hottest artist out. Send me a few samples of your writing and we’ll take it from there.

When is the print version of Hoodgrown relaunch?
As it looks now, we currently don’t have any plans to relaunch the print version of Hoodgrown. Print magazines are expensive to create and advertisers are spending less and less in magazines. That’s not to say that you’ll never again see the print magazine again, but it’s highly unlikely unless we come across a very generous investor.
