The Future of hip hop is $k. From an early age $k had a love for music, he was inspired by various artist and bands such as; Earth, Wind & Fire, The Isleys, Jay-z, Nas, ECT. His musical journey began in elementary school writing poetry, and being published in the Washington Post. From there he expanded to writing lyrics. Many tiring long days and nights were spent on perfecting his craft and studying the game.

Tywan M. Harris, rapper/songwriter, and entrepreneur, known as Cashmere, has just begun to make his mark in the music industry. Starting out as many do battling, he began to build recognition on the streets of East NY Brooklyn making appearances on mixtapes hosted by legendary DJs. Amongst many, DJ Enuff was the first to believe in the potential and sound Cashmere had created in his home town. After hearing his remix to “Still Ray” by none other than Raphael Saadiq, DJ Enuff began to push Cashmere on NY’s premiere radio station, Hot 97.1. The buzz began to increase while working alongside DJ Kay Slay, who began featuring Cashmere on numerous “Streetsweeper” mixtapes, and radio appearances. Soon, his na me branched out to other known radio personalities including Funkmaster Flex, DJ Clue, and many more. With a growing fan base record labels started to grow interest in Cashmere, but Tywan Harris, the business man came into effect.
Cimer Amor is the Philadelphia beat-smith who represents one half of the CAEN Project, has been the boardsman behind several underground, indie smash singles over the years that have charted very high through U.S. college radio hip-hop charts such as RapAttackLives.com & Rap Network Record Breakers. Cimer boasts an impressive discograpy that includes placements among a who’s who list of underground hip-hop icons such as Sabac Red (of Non Phixion), King Syze & Doap Nixon (of AOTP), Louis Logic, Side Effect & more.
With the current development of Hip-Hop turning to the Midwest region, one rapper by the name of Smokes aka Mr. Asian Pride will for sure stand out from the talented crowd of rap artists from the Midwest.Smokes was born in Pusan, South Korea, but currently resides in Madison, Wisconsin, where he is crafting his lyrical skills and musical force on a daily basis with the goal to become the next Asian rap star in the country.
