I was right the first time! The sources were messing me up in this one! I had one source or site saying that these two WERE A COUPLE based on several pictures. And after that, somebody else hit me up and told me that wasn’t the case. I was told that French and Trina were simply working together and he was going to be an executive producer on her new album. ILLSEED EXCLUSIVE! I’m old enough to know who Michael Concepcion is. Meek Mill…not so much. For those that don’t the brother is a founding member of the CRIPS. The real LA Crips. In the 80′s he turned his life around and began working for peace and is now confined to a wheelchair after a bullet crippled him. He was the executive producer of the peace song “All In The Same Gang.” Now, for the longest is is well known that you just don’t cross this brother, whether he is about peace or war. Well, I am getting word that Concepcion is working on a new project and asked Meek to contribute to it. Rumor says, Meek blew it off and refused, seemingly unaware of who he was dealing with. And, he basically is now facing the repercussions of the decision. I heard that he was unable to peruse the streets of California, because of the pressure in true streets of Cali. From what I heard, Meek went to the show he had and to the hotel, not leaving. I was told that there were people at the show[s] he did to disrupt it, but I did not hear anything negative happened. WELP! This isn’t hard to guess! But I am hearing that a certain, long running Hip-Hop magazine will finally be closing its doors within a year. I cannot say, but there are many, many industry people that allege its a wrap! I’m getting word that this mag will cease to publish in 9 months or so. I hear that they recently laid of a lot of people. I don’t believe that’s anything new to the game. But, I also heard that there are some lawsuits that have begun to affect the company as well. Apparently, a gay person that worked with the company on a photo shoot or something has decided to sue for harassment or something. Again, don’t quote me because I don’t know this as fact. (ill news) Man, I hope they are pissed out there in Pittsburgh! Why? Because the cops have won again in a case that should have been open and shut. People have been fighting for justice in the case of Jordan Miles from day one, but it doesn’t seem like justice was fighting for the boy. He’s not even a boy. He was a college student before they beat him down and yanked his braids out. Why? They thought a “bulge” in his pocket was a gun. It turned out to be a bottle of Mountain Dew. Sound familiar? Cops that didn’t identify themselves as such and ran up on the young brother. They asked him a lot of questions about drugs and such. He’s a college student. He reacted in a way that made them more “suspicious.” Sound familiar!? There are more details to the case, but a jury declared a mistrial in the case and the cops are claiming the victory! Here is a piece of a story in the local Gazette. An eight-member jury decided in favor of three Pittsburgh police officers on Jordan Miles’ accusation of malicious prosecution and a judge ordered a mistrial on two other counts, ending a three-week civil trial but setting up an as-yet-unscheduled retrial on whether the officers falsely arrested the young Homewood man and used excessive force. “We feel this is a win, obviously a major win,” said James Wymard, attorney for Officer David Sisak. ? The officers welcome the next trial, their lawyers said. “They want to be vindicated on the other two counts,” said attorney Robert Leight, attorney for Officer Richard Ewing. Mr. Miles’ attorney, J. Kerrington Lewis, said his client “believes in this case. … We’re going to go back at it.” Mr. Miles’ other attorney, Timothy O’Brien, said there are evidentiary issues that may be decided differently the second time around, which he felt could favor the plaintiff. Officer Ewing and co-defendant Officer Michael Saldutte left U.S. District Court without saying a word. Officer Sisak did not attend the reading of the verdict. Uh OH. So, Meek Mil is the hottest thing in the streets these days – literally! A lot of rappers are just fronting and all that, but Meek is clearly the truth. Only thing is, he may not have done his history on this new one. Because I am hearing he made a critical error in judgement in Cali. Apparently, there is an OG out there that requested Meek on a song or a compilation album. And this OG – who I am not going to mention – hit up Meek. Seems like Meek blew this Quadruple OG’s request off and was like “I don’t know you so I’m not doing it.” Now, before I continue, I want to stress that this person is extremely highly regarded in every way out in Cali. The OG Gangster is known for creating peace, but is also known to have ties that can get you tied up, if you know what I’m saying. So, basically Meek didn’t know this. I can understand since he’s new and this dude was “active” in the 80′s – maybe the 70′s! He makes Suge salute! Now, the OG is mad and he’s seemingly making it tight for Meek as he tours out West. From what I was told, Meek is in and out. Do a show, stay low. And there is no shame in that, because this man isn’t one you trifle with. I know Meek often refers to his “old heads” from Philly.
